All my life I have lived in Kingston and the area. I have a BAH degree majoring in Geography and minoring in history as well as my BED from Queen's University. In 1989 I married my beautiful wife, Donna, who owns and operates Creative Effects, an award-winning advertising/graphic-design company. I began my teaching career in 1996 right here in Gananoque at St. Joseph School in a half time position. I was offered a full-time position in Brockville after two years and spent the next seven years there.

After the birth of my daughter, Michaela in 2002 I began thinking I would like to come back "home" to Gananoque. I took the leap in 2006 and have enjoyed being on staff here at St. Joe's since then.

My favourite pastimes are running, cycling, kayaking, photography and watching movies. My passion is listening to and playing music (I am a drummer). My only claim to fame is that my band used to open for the Tragically Hip. As far as my interests and hobbies are concerned those who know me well will tell you I am fascinated with technology and cars. I am a fan of a variety of motor sports and enjoy reading about various kinds of cars.

Other interests include astronomy, zoology, and photography. But most of all I enjoy spending time with my family: watching Michaela playing soccer, days at the beach, playing games, and going for walks with our Australian Shepherd Gracie. Our two beautiful Ragdoll cats complete our family.

At school I enjoy all aspects of teaching and learning from the kids in my classroom, coaching pee-wee cross country and and track and field teams with Mr. Shannon, and being an active member of the St. Joseph community.

The latest addition to our family. Meet Oliver.
